I can’t believe that I am actually launching my first podcast!
During this episode, I focus on a few worship pastors and friends that have cut their first CD’s. I think pretty much all of their websites have PDF versions of their music so you can download and use them in your church / small group. Enjoy, and feel free to send me an e-mail or post a comment to let me know what you think.

Tracks Played - Beloved Jesus, Longing for the Moon
Note about the album: Lazarus Church refers to a vision the Lord gave Jay in the fall of 2003, in which Jesus is calling the church out of the grave, out of a time of slumber. It is time to finally take the grave clothes off and begin to be about His business while we have the opportunity.
As promised during the podcast, here are some COOL photos of Jay and his Guitars.

Quote from their MySpace Profile - “Their unique style of worship mixes rock, jazz, pop, reggae, alternative, salsa, jam band elements, bluegrass, and traditional worship into their completely original, focused, and catchy songs. And, somehow it all flows together beautifully. Their talent is unmatched in the area with the presence of phenomenal area musicians, such as Rock & Rock Hall of Fame member and former player in the Talking Heads, Steve Scales.”

January 2nd, 2007
My wife and I are volunteering for BreakForth Canada, an equipping and renewing conference in Alberta, Canada. We were too late to get tickets (the early bird sold out), so we opted for a volunteer position instead. I believe that it is the largest event of its kind in North America, with over 10,000 people coming from all over the world. It is absolutely amazing.
As a volunteer, I will be looking after one of the speakers at the event (not sure which one yet). I will be responsible for taking tickets…etc…should be interesting. One of the benefits of going as a volunteer is that once you serve your “hours”, you are free to attend the rest of the conference at no cost.
I will be on the look out for new artists, and I will keep the listeners posted as the date closer (end of Jan). I am also ordering a cool “Fresh Worship” shirt so I can promote the podcast while I am “off duty”.
More to come about this…

I felt like God was really directing this podcast episode. I was unprepared for this recording (I didn’t even plan the songs). I had a few songs sitting around that I wanted to eventually put on a podcast, and when I started to go through them as I was recording, I just felt like they “fit” together so beautifully. I have had similar instances when I choose songs for worship on Sunday…when the message and music fit together and the Holy Spirit just seems to move (even during the planning stage of a worship set).
Anyway…enjoy the podcast, and feel free to comment or shoot me an e-mail at freshworship@gmail.com to let me know what you think.

Band Website - www.btbf.org (Bent Tree Bible Fellowship)
To buy the CD, go to www.btbf.org/stillamazed or download from iTunes
I also highlighted The Jesus Site on this Episode. The site is a great resource for Christian resources, biblical illustrations, sermon notes etc…give the site a visit and check it out. I think I will create a page on the site here for some more sites like this as I come across them.
